Chiropractic Adjustments
I mean we are a chiropractic office! Every time you come in we will check your spine (and sometimes extremities too) to see if you need to be adjusted. If so, the adjustment is a gentle and specific force to the area of subluxation (joint misalignment), with the goal of restoring proper alignment, and improving function of the brain and nervous system. We are experienced in adjusting by hand, using drop tables, and also with the small hand-held tool known as the Activator.
Massage Therapy
We have two skilled massage therapists on staff to provide muscle work. Sometimes it is used for stress relief and relaxation. Other times we will recommend it as part of your recovery process to help areas of pain, to improve circulation, decrease muscle stiffness, and to improve flexibility.
Electric Stimulation
This therapy is a treatment meant to strengthen muscles, reduce pain, relieve muscle spasms, and improve blood flow to various muscles or tissues. This is a common recommendation for someone who is in pain, and oftentimes used in conjunction with heat.
Spinal Decompression
This is a non-invasive form of traction treatment that utilizes a special motorized table to relieve pressure and give spacing back to the spinal discs, which promotes natural healing. When the pressure on the disc is decreased and/or relieved, it can often return to its normal position and stop the pain caused by conditions including herniated or degenerative discs, spinal arthritis, spinal stenosis, and nerve root pressure.
Roller Table
This therapy can help patients improve through the use of pressure moving up and down the spine. By taking the spine’s joints through full ranges of motion, it can help the muscles to stretch, relieve pressure on the spinal column, relieve stress, and improve the circulation of spinal fluids.
Laser Therapy
This is a non-invasive light source treatment that generates a single wavelength of light. It has been known to affect the function of connective tissue cells (fibroblasts), accelerate connective tissue repair and act as an anti-inflammatory agent. Specific wavelengths have the ability to penetrate skin and soft/hard tissues. This can have a positive effect on pain, inflammation, and tissue repair because it promotes healing at the cellular level.
Foot Scans and Custom Orthotics
We have the Foot Levelers foot scanner, which allows us to see if the 3 normal arches in the foot are still intact, or if they have collapsed, and to what degree that change there may be. If needed, we can order custom orthotics based on your scan. These are great for helping foot, ankle, and knee pain but they reduce the stress on the spine as well, helping people hold their adjustments better.
Ionizing Foot Bath
An ionic foot bath is a therapeutic foot-soaking process that uses negative ions in a bath of distilled water and salt to rid the body of toxins through the feet. The foot bath is connected to electricity to produce a vibration in the water and causes a chemical reaction between the water and the salt. Toxins in the body attach themselves to the negative ions in the water and are pulled out through the soles of the feet.
